Miller & Associates worked with the City of Imperial to evaluate and reimagine its existing three-field ball complex, developing a comprehensive realignment concept to improve functionality, safety, and long-term usability. The project focused on creating a cohesive site layout that enhances player and spectator experience while supporting future growth and community needs.
Our team prepared a detailed site plan that reconfigured the existing fields and incorporated key amenities to modernize the complex. The design included updated field orientations, improved circulation, and strategic placement of supporting facilities to create a more efficient and user-friendly layout. Consideration was given to both current use and future expansion, ensuring the concept could be implemented in phases as funding allows.
In addition to field realignment, the plan incorporated upgraded infrastructure and amenities, including lighting, spectator accommodations, and a multi-use building to support concessions, restrooms, and press box functions. The concept also addressed site improvements such as grading, irrigation, and parking, as well as relocation of existing playground equipment to better integrate with the overall park layout.
The completed planning effort provided the City with a clear, flexible roadmap to guide future improvements and support continued investment in the ball field complex.
