Miller & Associates partnered with the City of Kearney to design and deliver the Hillside Estates/Honey Hills Trail, enhancing pedestrian and bicycle connectivity across several developing residential neighborhoods. The project focused on creating a safe, accessible route that links key corridors while accommodating future growth in the area.

The design included an eight-foot-wide concrete hike/bike trail extending along the west side of 10th Avenue from 45th Street to south of 42nd Street, continuing along the north side of 42nd Street, and utilizing an existing easement along the west side of the Hillside Estates development. This alignment provided an efficient and continuous connection between neighborhoods while minimizing impacts to existing infrastructure.

Miller & Associates developed construction documents and provided construction engineering services to ensure the project was built in accordance with design intent and quality standards. The completed trail enhances mobility, encourages outdoor activity, and supports the City’s long-term vision for a connected and accessible trail system.
